Warning: My cousin mistook my glassblowing torch for a welding tool
I was demonstrating how I craft glass vases when my cousin visited. He saw my torch and immediately thought I could weld metal! He ran home to get his dented car bumper, hoping I could repair it. I had to laugh and explain the difference between glass and metal work. We ended up making a tiny glass car ornament together, and it was a riot.

Isn't it funny how people assume all torches are the same? I used to think glassblowing and welding were almost the same thing too. Your story really made me see how wrong I was. Glass needs slow, careful heat to shape it, while metal welding is about melting pieces together fast. That mix-up with the car bumper must have been a hilarious moment! Ending up with a glass ornament instead is such a cool way to turn confusion into something fun.

Actually lee_anderson, those quick links can be tricky if you don't get the right type for your chain. The pin has to seat fully or it'll just pop off again when you pedal hard. For a simple fix it's okay, but a proper chain tool and a new pin is way more solid for the long run.
