Sandstone erosion on a coastal walk showed me something about job teams
I was walking by the ocean. The sandstone cliffs were breaking down. It made me think of my old work crew. We had no trust, so we fell apart fast. Geology really shows how things hold up or don't.

Totally get the sandstone thing. I saw these hoodoos in Utah that looked like groups of people from a distance, all carved up by weather. It made me think of my cousin's band that broke up after they couldn't agree on a name. Just slowly wore down until there was nothing left.

Yeah I read something about quartzite teams being tougher than sandstone ones because they start with more pressure and heat. Basically if your group's foundation is solid conflict, it can handle way more erosion over time. Makes our old drama-filled startup make way more sense now.

Reading @drew_reed62's hoodoo comparison hit home. My old team was crumbling until we started weekly check-ins where everyone could voice concerns without blame. It was awkward at first, but admitting small issues stopped the big cracks from forming. That regular, honest talk became our bedrock.
