Why does nobody talk about the patience needed for developing film at home?
I learned that keeping your developer at a steady temp makes all the difference. Seeing that first image come up after minutes of waiting is magic.

What's tougher, keeping the temp right or just sitting through the wait?

Nah, @michael_wright90, the wait is way tougher for me. Temp control just needs regular checks, but waiting tests your patience big time. That mental battle makes the wait the real challenge.
