The file that saved my butt was a random backup from 4am

I was finishing a client deck in Austin last Tuesday, deadline at 9am, and at 8:10 I hit save and the program froze, then crashed with the file corrupted. I panicked for a solid five minutes until I remembered my cloud drive auto-syncs every hour, and the 4am version was clean, just missing my last two slides. I rebuilt those slides in 20 minutes flat, but now I'm paranoid about corrupting again, anyone else use version history as a safety net or am I the only one living this close to the edge?

4am backup" sounds like my sleep schedule, so I feel oddly qualified to trust it.
