Found a jar of pickled eggs at the dollar store in Springfield and had to think twice

Are these a hidden gem for a quick protein snack or a risky buy that might sit in your fridge forever? I grabbed one for $1.25 but I'm torn on whether to crack it open or pass it along to a brave friend who's tried them before.

Give it a shot, worst case you're out a buck twenty five and you learn pickled eggs aren't your thing. I grabbed a jar of pickled onions from a similar spot and they were surprisingly solid on a sandwich for a week straight. If you're still on the fence, just crack it open with a buddy so you don't have to eat the whole jar alone.

...until you've had a bad jar and spent the next three days questioning every bite of food you've ever taken. That puckered brine smell stays in your kitchen for a week, and suddenly your fridge just smells like a gas station floor. Sure, they're cheap, but so is a lottery ticket, and we all know how that usually ends. Pickled onions on a sandwich sounds good in theory, but in practice you're just eating vinegar with a crunch and calling it a meal, aren't you?
