Client called during a typhoon warning in Taipei, my backup plan saved the gig

I was mid-call with a client in Chicago when the storm sirens hit my neighborhood in Taipei, so I moved my laptop into the stairwell and finished the presentation on 10% battery, but now I pack a portable charger for every cafe visit, has anyone else had to do a pitch from a random hallway?
