Am I the only one who didn't know most coworking spots in Lisbon close by 7pm?
I just found this out last week after three months of bouncing around Lisbon, and it honestly flipped my whole schedule around. I always assumed coworking spaces stayed open late like the 24 hour cafes back home, so I kept rolling in around 8pm to grind on client stuff, only to find locked doors and dark windows every single time. It turns out most of the spots here in the Baixa area shut down at 7 on the dot, and a few even close at 6 on Fridays, which I got straight from the guy at the front desk who looked at me like I was nuts for asking. That little detail pushed me to switch my whole day around, so now I do my deep work from 8am to 2pm and save calls for the late afternoon. It sounds small but honestly my sleep got better because I quit staying up till 2am trying to make up for the closed hours. My buddy who works from home back in Denver thought this was hilarious when I texted him about it. Does anyone know if this is a Portugal thing or does the whole coworking scene in Europe pack it in early like this?
The "8am to 2pm deep work then calls late" switch is exactly what worked for me here too. Once I stopped fighting the closing times and front-loaded my hard stuff, my evenings opened up and I stopped feeling like I was chasing the clock.
