Why I stopped posting my WIP shots and started showing only finished pieces

For two years I would upload every sketch and half-finished layer, thinking people wanted to see the process. Then a commenter in a Denver critique thread pointed out that my roughs were cluttering the feed and hiding the actual finished work. Now I only post when a piece is truly done, and my engagement went up noticeably within a month. Has anyone else found that showing process hurts rather than helps their showcase?
