A comment about my brush strokes made me rethink my whole workflow
I posted a portrait on here last week and someone said my edges were too hard on the hair. I didn't even notice, but they were right. I went back and softened up the edges with a smudge brush and it looked way more natural. Has anyone else had one tiny critique totally shift how they approach a piece?

Wait... you actually went back and changed the whole piece because of one comment about the hair?

Three hours on clouds? I gotta say @the_lee, that's dedication right there. I'd probably just leave the damn things and call it a style choice.

Went back and redid an entire sky once because someone said my clouds looked like cotton balls. Spent three hours just blending them out with a dry brush. @hannahsingh I guess it depends on what the comment is - some stuff you just nod and move on, but if the person has a point and it's something you've been ignoring in your own head, might as well fix it. My hair edges were a mess for years before that one comment. Now I check every piece for hard edges first thing.
