Rolled 400,000 miles on my 2006 Ram and the thing that got me was the oil change log
My 5.9 Cummins hit 400k on I-80 outside of Cheyenne hauling a buddy's trailer back to Omaha. I wasn't even watching the odometer, I was watching the fuel gauge creep toward empty with no exit for 30 miles. When I pulled into the truck stop and saw the numbers, I sat there and did the math on oil changes: roughly 80 of them at 5k intervals, and I've done every single one myself in my driveway. My old service book has 80 handwritten dates going back to 2006 and it hit me that the book is worth more to me than the truck. What do you guys keep for records, paper or do you just trust the dash?
