Bought a used bread maker for $8, best swap I've made in years

Last week I grabbed an old bread maker from a swap table in Columbus, took it home and cleaned it out. First loaf came out a little dense, but the second one was perfect and now I skip the $5 store bread. Anyone else scoring kitchen gadgets secondhand and getting good results?
