I paid $22 for a cheap habit tracker app and it actually got me flossing, but $9 for the fancy one did nothing
Two months back I finally got a checkmark app for my phone to track flossing, and the cheap $22 one worked way better than the $9 "premium" tracker I tried before it. The cheap app only had 4 habits on the screen and a big red button, so I had no excuse to skip. The fancy one had graphs, themes, and reminders every 20 minutes, and I ended up ignoring all of it. I flossed 26 nights in a row after switching, which is a personal record for me. Now I'm wondering if I wasted money on the wrong thing twice, or if it's more about how simple the app is. Has anyone noticed that paying more for a habit tool actually made them worse at using it?
