That $40 raincoat for my dog was a game changer in Seattle
Walked 3 miles in a downpour last Tuesday and my beagle, Gus, came home bone dry while I looked like a drowned rat. Paid $40 for this little yellow shell from a local pet shop, figured it was a waste. Now I'm the one borrowing his towel after every walk, lol. Has anyone else found a weird dog accessory that ended up being worth every penny?

The thing nobody mentions is how a good raincoat changes the walk itself, not just the dog. Before I got mine, my dog would shake off every two seconds and drag me through the puddles just to get it over with. Now he trots along like he owns the street, and I actually enjoy the rain too, which is saying something for a person who hates wet socks. Plus, you start noticing all the other dog owners with their soaked, miserable pups and you feel like you're in some secret club. It's not about the money, it's about the fact that you stop arguing with a wet animal for an hour. That alone was worth the $40 to me.
