I finally stopped taking the bridge and tried the ferry for a week
Picked the 25-minute ferry over the 45-minute bridge ride last Monday because the air quality was terrible, and now I'm hooked even though I almost missed my stop twice watching the harbor seals.

Man, that sounds like a solid upgrade! I did the same thing last summer when the bridge traffic made me late three times in one week. The ferry ride gives you that little bit of time to just breathe before the day starts, even if you have to keep an eye on your watch.
