Just realized I almost ruined my grandfather's stamp album with cheap plastic sleeves
Ngl I was about to move 200+ stamps from his old album into those clear binder pages I got off Amazon for $8. Then a guy at the Kansas City stamp show last month told me PVC in cheap sleeves breaks down over years and fuses to the paper. I spent $22 on proper Mylar sleeves instead and about 4 hours carefully swapping them out one by one. My grandfather's 1962 set is safe now but I nearly wrecked it trying to make it look nicer. Has anyone else had sleeving go wrong on old paper stuff?
