Saw a guy at the Long Beach yard pull the load chart out of the cab and shove it in the glovebox
Was waiting on a pick last Thursday and watched this operator on a 60 ton grove bury his load chart under his lunch bag. He told me he has been running 12 years and never needed it because he knows his limits by feel. Thing is the chart changes with boom angle, radius, and outrigger spread, and feel does not know the difference between 22 feet and 26 feet on a full boom. I keep mine laminated on the dash where I can see it without moving. Curious how many of you actually reference yours mid lift or just run off memory?
