Almost dropped a load on a crew in Houston because of one radio call I misheard
Six days ago I was booming a 4,000 lb pipe section over a crew at a job site off Beltway 8 in Houston when the rigger said "hold up east" and I heard "hold up, ease." I stopped the swing but the load was already drifting maybe two feet toward the guys below, and my spotter caught it and yelled before anything bad went down. Has anyone else had a call go sideways like that, and do you repeat every command back or just trust the radio?
