A 19-year-old apprentice made me rethink my whole rig setup
Tbh I was skeptical when this kid fresh out of school started talking about reeving the block different on my Liebherr. He said I was wasting 15 minutes every pick with my line angle. I laughed it off at first, but then he showed me on a job in Austin how a simple tagline adjustment cut our cycle time by a good 20%. Honestly it hit different because he wasn't showing off, just pointing out a habit I'd had for 8 years. Now I let him run the rope on every setup and we finish way earlier. Has anyone else had a younger hand correct your fundamentals and it actually stuck?

Wait so was the tagline adjustment something he'd seen on another site or did he just figure it out from scratch? Cause that's the part I'm trying to wrap my head around.
