Hit day 100 in my first year of Stardew and my little farm finally feels like home
Last Friday I was sitting in a coffee shop in Portland and overheard two people talking about how they quit Stardew Valley after one season because it felt like too much work, and I almost jumped in to tell them it took me until fall of year 1 to stop stressing about making money. I just kept planting potatoes badly, forgot to water my crops for like 3 days straight, and slowly figured out that the game is way more fun when you stop trying to be efficient. Did anyone else take a full in-game year before they actually liked their own farm layout, or did you restart a bunch of times like I almost did?
That part about forgetting to water for 3 days straight is so real lol. My buddy did the same thing his first spring and ended up just fishing for like two weeks instead, said it was the most fun he had all year. He didn't restart either, just let the farm look messy and stuck with it.
