Took me 3 weekends and 14 zip ties to fix one dangling monitor cable
I finally got fed up with the cable hanging behind my monitor and decided to fix it properly. What I figured would be a 20 minute job turned into three full weekends of trial and error. The first attempt with adhesive clips failed because my desk is a cheap laminate that doesn't hold anything sticky. Then I drilled two holes, ran the cable through, and the monitor arm wouldn't sit flat anymore. By the end I had bought a cable tray, a roll of velcro, and spent about $47 total on stuff I did not plan for. My setup does look clean now but I am still annoyed at how long it took. Has anyone found a cable sleeve that actually stays put on a thin desk edge?
