My lamp arm dropped 4 inches mid Zoom and I fixed it with a rubber band
I was on a call from my apartment in Denver when the cheap clamp on my desk lamp gave out and the head tipped right into my webcam view. I wrapped a thick rubber band around the joint twice and it's held for 3 weeks now, way cheaper than the $35 replacement arm I almost bought. Anyone else got a hack for keeping clamp lamps from sagging over time?
Man, this is the same story as everything else in life right? The thing was built to fail at the exact seam where it bends, and the fix costs pennies. My headphone band cracked last year and I taped it with hockey tape, still going strong. The $35 replacement arm probably has the same weak joint and would sag again in six months anyway.
