The diner cook in Boise poured my cold brew over crushed ice and it fixed my whole summer
I was at a little diner in Boise last month and ordered a cold brew, and the cook behind the counter poured it over crushed ice instead of cubes, which I had never tried at home. It made the drink so much smoother and less watery, and now I keep a bag of crushed ice in my freezer and my morning cup tastes totally different. Does anyone else crush their ice for cold brew, or am I late to something everyone already knew?
Oh wow, I actually read somewhere that crushed ice melts faster so it waters things down less as you drink it. Maybe it's just me but that totally makes sense now.
