I finally picked a $20 hand grinder over a $150 electric one, and I'm not going back
Everyone in my local coffee group in Fort Wayne pushed me toward the electric burr grinder, but I went with the cheap hand grinder for my morning pour over. It takes about 90 seconds of cranking for 20 grams of beans, which I thought would bug me, but it's turned into the calmest part of my day before work. The grind is more even than my old blade grinder, and my cups taste sweeter and less muddy, honestly. The trade off is that funny little ritual of standing there grinding, so has anyone else gone manual and stuck with it, or am I just being stubborn?
