Why does nobody talk about how cheap mixing bowls warp in heat?

I picked up a set of plastic mixing bowls from the dollar store for $8 thinking they'd be fine for quick color jobs. First time I poured warm developer into one it literally warped and tipped over, spilling $12 worth of dye on my floor. Anyone got a solid bowl brand that won't cost an arm and a leg but can handle the heat?

Honestly @carter.casey you might be right about the glass ones, been meaning to switch.

Bought the same cheap set once and learned the same hard way. Switched to those thick glass Pyrex bowls you can find at the grocery store for maybe $10 each. They handle boiling water and bleach without any issue, only con is they are heavy and can break if you drop them. I use the 4-cup size for mixing color and the 8-cup for rinsing brushes.
