Last month I finally ditched the box dye in my chair

Three years ago I started letting clients bring in their own drugstore color when they were on a budget. Last month one of those regulars came in with hair that was nearly black at the roots and orange at the ends, totally fried. I spent 2 hours doing a color remover and toner just to get her back to a normal brown. I used to think any color was better than no color, but now I just tell people straight up that I wont mix box dye with my work. Has anyone else had to fix a bad at home color job that took way longer than a regular appointment?
