Found out the average person has 100,000 hairs and I've been counting mine out loud at the shampoo bowl
Last week a client asked me how many hairs she had and I said "a lot" like a dummy, so I went home and looked it up on the American Academy of Dermatology site. Turns out the average head holds about 100,000 hairs, and blonde folks have more, redheads have less. I told my 2pm color client in Dayton and she sat there doing the math on her own highlights the entire appointment. Now I can't help but say "you're losing maybe 50 to 100 a day, totally normal" every time someone panics at my sink. Does anyone else quote random stats like this and have clients look at them weird?
