The paid group chat was trash, the free one on Reddit nailed it

I paid $30 for a private Discord about UFO sightings and it was just people posting blurry bird pics. Then I joined a free thread on r/UFOs last Tuesday and someone actually broke down the 2017 Nimitz video with radar data and pilot testimony. The paid group had 4,000 members and zero substance, the free thread had like 12 active commenters who actually read the reports. Has anyone else found that the free communities do better research than the ones charging money?

Wait, have you tried the smaller niche discords that aren't charging anything? I joined a free YouTube comment section once, back when the Tic Tac thing first got big, and this guy who worked with radar systems just started laying out what the data actually meant. That one thread was worth more than any paid leak site I ever touched. Plus the free people do it because they care, not because they're trying to justify a subscription. Paid groups just attract people who want to feel exclusive, so it turns into a show-off fest. The real nerds hang out where it's not gated, honestly.
