Showerthought: a guy at a Denver bus stop said the moon landing footage was shot at 1/2 speed and now I check playback on everything
Heard him tell his friend that the flag waving was from air movement in the studio, not wind, and that the film speed was slowed down 2x to fake low gravity. I looked it up later and the flag actually has a horizontal rod holding it out, which is why it looks stiff. Made me think about how easy it is to accept a detail without checking the setup behind it, whether it's moon footage or a bad YouTube doc. Anyone else start fact checking small claims after a random stranger drops something like that?
