Went with a mag float over a bull float on a 12x20 slab in Tucson last month
Had a small patio pour for a guy in Tucson and I couldn't decide between dragging out the bull float or using the mag. I went with the mag since the mix was a bit wet and I wanted to start finishing sooner. It worked out fine, pulled the cream up nice, but my arms were shot by the end of it. Next time on a slab that size I'm going back to the bull float first and using the mag just for the finish pass. Anyone else switch between the two depending on how wet the mud comes out?

Reminds me of my uncle who swore by a wooden hand float, said it made him feel like a real craftsman.
