Serious question: is skipping the bus and walking 2 stops actually faster, or am I fooling myself?
My bus gets stuck at the light near 5th and Main for what feels like forever, so 3 weeks ago I started hopping off 2 stops early and walking the rest. My walk is about 0.4 miles and takes me 7 minutes flat, while the bus usually sits there for 4 or 5 minutes and then crawls. So I get to work around 8 minutes earlier and I save $0 because I still paid the fare, which feels dumb when I say it out loud. My coworker says I am just impatient and that standing on a bus beats walking in the rain, which is fair. Do you get off early to beat traffic, or do you just stay on and accept the crawl?
