Update: my Python loop ran all night and printed 4,000 pages because I forgot one line
Last Tuesday I left a while loop running on my laptop while I made dinner, and when I came back the printer in the other room was spitting out page after page because I never added a break or a counter to stop it. I killed the program, pulled the plug on the printer, and then spent an hour reading about break statements before I finally understood what I was missing. How do you all test loops before letting them run for real, or is there a trick to stop them fast once they go wild?
