My neighbor showed me why I should never ignore the humidity in my basement

After I got 2 inches of water last spring, this old guy named Frank walked over and told me to get a dehumidifier running before the mold sets in. He was right, my drywall woulda rotted without it. Has anyone else had a neighbor save you from a costly mistake like that?
