Just hit the $500 mark on my Cleveland Water bill refund after my neighbor pointed out one weird thing
My next door neighbor on W 41st looked at my water bill 4 months ago and asked why I was being billed for 12,000 gallons a month when I live alone. I checked and turns out my old toilet flapper from 2008 was leaking nonstop, running about 200 gallons a day straight into the sewer. I swapped the flapper for $9 at the hardware store on Lorain and my bill dropped from $180 a month to $47. That was in March and I just crossed $500 in savings this month. I still feel dumb for not catching it myself. Anyone else find a silent leak that was eating their bill like this?
