Wasted $80 on that magnetic window cleaner gadget
I bought one of those magnetic dual-sided window cleaners off Amazon, thinking it'd save me time on my apartment windows in Brooklyn. Worked great for about 3 minutes before the magnet slipped and it fell 4 stories into a bush. Has anyone else had better luck with a different brand, or are they all just overpriced junk?

Worked great for about 3 minutes" - that's basically my experience with all of them honestly. I got one from a hardware store for like $40 and it's fine for like single pane windows on the first floor but anything thicker or higher up and it just won't hold. I think the magnets are just too weak on the cheap ones and the strong ones are like $150 plus.

The strong ones are worth the money if you clean windows often. Cheap magnets are a waste.
