The pet store clerk in Reno told me to lock my cat out of the room during calls, and I think that advice is flat out wrong
Two months ago I was buying cat food at a shop on Virginia Street in Reno, and the clerk heard me say my cat Jasper walks across my desk during work calls, so she told me to just shut him out of the room every time I dial in. I told her that seemed cold, and she shrugged and said "you can't train a cat anyway," which bugged me for days. So I tried it her way for one week, and Jasper yowled at the door for 40 minutes straight while I was on a client call, which was way worse than him just sitting on my keyboard. I went back to letting him stay, and now I keep a shoebox on the desk so he has a spot to sit near me. Has anyone found a middle ground that keeps the cat happy without a guest hearing him knock a pen off the desk?
