Remember when pets just stayed in the other room during calls?

I was on a Zoom meeting with my boss last Tuesday and my cat jumped right onto my keyboard, ended up typing a bunch of nonsense in the chat. Back in the 90s when I started working, we had landlines and the closest thing to a pet interruption was my dog barking at the mailman in the background. Now everyone expects your furry friend to make a cameo during important calls. Has anyone else noticed how pets have just taken over video meetings compared to the old days?

Pets have definitely taken over." Man, tell me about it. My cat once decided my laptop was the perfect napping spot right as I was giving a presentation to my whole team. I tried to gently move her but she gave me the death stare and I just had to give up and apologize to everyone like "sorry, my feline overlord demands attention." Its funny how we all just accept it now, like the pets are part of the meeting agenda. Makes you wonder if they're secretly running the show, right?

You said 'they're secretly running the show' - you really think our pets are training us to be their staff, or is it just accidental chaos lol?
