TIL the hard way about stair tackless in Portland
Had a homeowner chew me out for not using tackless strips on her stairs, said it looked lazy and could cause ripple over time. After redoing it their way with the strips and a knee kicker, I gotta admit the finish was way cleaner and the carpet hugged the nosing better. Any of y'all skip tackless on stairs or is that just me being cheap?
