Found a trick for hiding seams under low pile, wish I knew this 2 years ago
I do a lot of commercial work around Portland and low pile carpet is a nightmare for visible seams. Tried different tapes, different blades, even changed my stretching method. Last week on a job at a bank branch, an old timer I was working with showed me to cut the seam with a slight zigzag instead of a straight line. Sounds dumb but the seam practically vanished because the edges lock together. Took me maybe 4 extra minutes per seam. Has anyone else tried this or got another way that works for this stuff?
