Vent: cheap cotton swabs left lint in a customer's viewfinder, proper ones fixed it in one pass
Last Tuesday I was cleaning a Nikon FM2 that came in from a guy in Tacoma, and I reached for the dollar store swabs I keep in the bottom drawer. Big mistake. Every pass left tiny cotton fibers on the mirror, and I spent 40 minutes chasing them with a blower. Switched to the foam tipped ones my old mentor used to order, and the whole job took 6 minutes flat. The cheap ones cost me four times the time they saved in money. What's everyone else using for sensor and mirror work these days?
