Paid $45 for a sensor cleaning kit and it saved me a $120 shop visit
I got a speck on my mirrorless sensor that showed up in every shot above f/8. Local shop quoted $120 for a clean, so I grabbed one of those gel stick kits for $45 instead. Took me about 20 nervous minutes to follow the instructions and it worked on the first try. My only regret is not doing this earlier for the older camera I traded in. Has anyone else tried the gel sticks vs the wet method for stubborn spots? I'm curious if there's a case where wet cleaning is actually safer.
