My favorite spreadsheet form got corrupted, lost 6 months of customer data

Was inputting a new order this morning and the file just wouldnt open. Tried every recovery trick I knew. Support said the file was too far gone. Lost every lead and follow up note since January. Had to call 3 regulars to ask what they owed me and one of them got real annoyed. Now I'm using a plain notebook plus a simple CRM that costs $15 a month. Kinda miss the old days of paper ledgers honestly. Anyone else have a digital backup fail on them and switch to something more basic?
