Shoutout to the girl at the Staples in Boise who told me to stop buying fancy dot grid notebooks
She saw me holding a $28 dotted notebook and said to just grab a $4 composition book and a ruler, and I thought she was messing with me. I did it anyway, and my spreads have been cleaner for the past 4 months because I'm not scared to mess up a cheap page. But now I'm wondering if I lost something by ditching the nice paper, since my pens ghost a little on the thin stuff. So which side are you on: cheap notebooks you actually use, or pricey ones that make you slow down and plan more? Would love to hear from people who went back to the expensive stuff after trying the budget route.
