Bought a $60 stencil set and only use 2 of them
Saw a fancy stencil pack for layouts and banners, thought it would speed up my weekly spreads. Six months later most are still in the sleeve, and I keep going back to a ruler and a fineliner. Has anyone actually found stencils worth the space or should I just donate these?

It always works that way... we buy the whole kit of something and end up using the same two tools forever. Same thing happens to me with washi tape, bought a big set and I only reach for the black and white ones. Donate them, someone else will love all those unused shapes.

Right, because the stencil gods knew we'd all wake up one day needing exactly two specific leaf shapes and a star border. Mine came with a circle guide so tiny I need a magnifying glass and a protractor shape that belongs in a geometry class from 1987. The ruler and fineliner never judges you, never slides around, and never takes up drawer space. Donate them, but keep the box. It's perfect for storing the washi tape you'll never use.
