Just realized the folded paper trick beats every fancy score pad I've bought
I used to buy those $15 custom score pads for every new game, and my shelf is now full of half used ones for games we stopped playing. Two weeks ago at our Thursday group in Portland, a guy pulled out a plain sheet of paper, folded it into a grid, and ran the whole night with it. We tracked scores for 4 rounds of Wingspan faster than we ever did with the printed pad, mostly because he just crossed out old numbers instead of hunting for the right box. It also made house rules way easier since he could scribble a note next to a column. Now I'm staring at a drawer of glossy pads that cost me close to $80 total. Does anyone else keep buying these things out of habit, or is it just me?
