I hosted a game night for 9 people in my garage last Friday and we never finished a single game
We spent 40 minutes just arguing over the rulebook for Power Grid and then someone knocked over the whole board reaching for chips. Does anyone else find that the setup and rules talk eats up more time than actually playing?
Nine people and you got through zero games? The Power Grid rulebook alone is like reading a tax form, so I get the 40 minute argument, but losing the whole board to a chip grab is painful. That game takes forever to set up even when nobody destroys it. Your garage night sounds like it was mostly a snack break with extra steps.
