Finally got my group to try a heavy euro after 4 stalled attempts
Last Saturday we actually finished a full game of Brass Birmingham in 3 hours instead of giving up halfway through the first era like we did all three times last year, and I'm curious if anyone else has a trick for easing casual players into complex rules without losing them.

Did your friend ever try that trick where you give one player the rulebook but make them explain it like they're teaching a fantasy sport? My buddy got his wife into Feast for Odin by letting her win the first game on purpose, took three tries but now she owns every expansion.
