I finally ditched the coal forge for propane after my neighbor complained about the smoke
I ran a coal forge in my garage for about 6 years, and last March the neighbor two doors down called the city on me for the smoke on a Saturday. I switched to a 2 burner propane setup I picked up down in Pueblo for $180, and honestly the heat is cleaner but I miss how coal tells you where the hot spots are. Now I can't decide if I should sell the old coal setup or keep it for when I want that slower fire. For the folks who made the switch, did you ever go back, or is propane just it for you now?
