Update: Started The Bear 3 weeks ago and my laundry pile is now a landmark
So 3 weeks ago my sister kept bugging me to watch The Bear because she said it was "short episodes, you'll fly through it." She left out the part where I would watch 6 episodes in one sitting on a Tuesday night in my apartment in Lansing and look up at the clock and it's suddenly 12:40am with work at 7. I went in thinking it was just a cooking show and now I'm emotionally wrecked by a scene about a fork and a kitchen timer. My laundry has been sitting in the same basket for 11 days and I keep telling myself I'll fold it after "just one more." I even cancelled a trivia night with friends last Thursday, which I never do. It's not even that long of a show and somehow it ate my whole month. Has anyone else had a show completely take over their routine like this, and how did you break the streak without just quitting cold turkey?
