Unpopular opinion: I was dead wrong about 'Dark' being overhyped

I started the first two episodes of Dark thinking it was just another slow German drama that people pretended to like. But after episode 4, the time travel stuff clicked and I couldn't stop watching. The way 2019 and 1986 connect through the cave system near Winden blew my mind. Has anyone else written off a show early and then changed their mind after giving it more time?

and then it just keeps layering on itself too, each season pulling in another decade like 1953 or 1888. the whole thing with the knots was a headache but in a good way. i almost quit after season 2 because it got confusing but stuck with it. glad i did because the payoff is huge.

Yeah for real @drew_reed62, the knots thing was a mindbender haha. I almost dropped out around season 3 when they threw in the 1888 stuff but I'm glad I stuck with it too. The way it all ties back in the end makes the confusing parts worth it.
