Just realized I was wrong about clipper cleaning, a 40 minute job took me 2 hours
I used to just brush the hair off my clippers and oil them and call it done. Figured a full teardown was overkill. Then last Tuesday my Master's clippers started pulling and got hot on a fade. Took the blade off to look and the inside was packed with hair and old oil gum. I spent an hour with a toothbrush and screwdriver getting it all out, then another 40 minutes putting the blade back right and testing tension. So 2 hours on a job that should've been 15 minutes if I'd been opening them up all along. What sold me was my buddy Ray saying he opens his every 6 weeks and his blades last way longer. Now I'm wondering how often you all crack yours open?
